In response to increasing demand within the Indian elevator industry, protection and information system specialist TL Jones has opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Thane, Maharashtra.
The factory has a production capacity of 70,000 light curtains a year and is located in TL Jones India’s head office, along with a service centre and engineering department.
The factory was officially inaugurated on 15 February in a grand opening ceremony. A lamp lighting ceremony, considered an auspicious tradition in India when starting any new venture, was followed by Mr Dev Das Goswami, from the Bureau of Indian Standards, cutting a ribbon to commemorate the factory’s opening.
